water Cured in Place Pipe (CIPP) Relining Adelaide
CIPP stands for “Cured-In-Place Pipe.” It is a trenchless method of repairing or rehabilitating existing pipelines without the need for extensive excavation.
CIPP involves inserting a flexible liner made of materials such as polyester, fiberglass, or epoxy resin into the damaged pipe. The liner is then cured in place using heat, steam, or UV light to create a new, seamless pipeline inside the existing one. This method can be used for a variety of pipeline materials, including PVC, concrete, clay, and cast iron.
CIPP has become a popular method of pipeline repair and rehabilitation due to its minimal excavation requirements and relatively quick installation process. It can also extend the life of the existing pipeline, improve flow capacity, and reduce the risk of future pipe failure.
Water cured CIPP IS Ideal For:
This system is ideal where there is only an IP for access as it can be installed through a 100mm IP, using an inversion pressure drum. This also allows us to do a blind shot, which is where there is no access to the end of the liner, to rehabilitate pipes.
cipp process
This resign impregnated polyester felt liner is cured using hot water and is ideal for the relining of pipes from DN90mm up to DN450, either sewer or stormwater, which can be installed using a scaffold or pressure drum to invert the liner into the pipe.
THE BENEFITS
Most of all, Water Cured CIPP lining is efficient in tight access locations and where there is only one point of entry to rehabilitate the pipe.
A hardening agent can be applied to the resin to increase the speed which reduces the curing time.
